Before...

The Work Involved

• Order skip, demolish old conservatory, clear site, remove existing concrete plinth
• Dig trenches and set new foundations
• Establish suitable drainage and electricity supply
• Build dwarf cavity walls, with insulation, damp proof course and membrane
• Set new conservatory sub-floor with 50mm insulation and concrete
• Install new conservatory, position windows and doors, fit roof and roof vent
• Fit guttering, downpipes, lead flashing
• Interior finishing:
  • Lay underfloor heating, lay screed and tile floor
  • Install sockets, lighting circuits, heating circuits
  • Plaster wall, fit skirting and window sills, then paint
  • Install lighting, sockets, TV aerial, heating controls
• Exterior finishing:
  • Create decking area surrounding conservatory, with steps down to garden
  • Fit feature lighting on decking, and outdoor sockets
• Clean site thoroughly, remove waste and debris
