• Downstairs bathroom on corner of house, gets cold and damp
• Concrete sub-floor, tiled
• Single, small towel radiator provides only heating
• Install supplementary underfloor heating (electric)

• Do not channel wires into any walls as plastering only recently finished

Before...

The Work Involved

• Remove all obstructions, take up existing tiles
• Cut a channel for cables from nearby cupboard into bathroom
• Prepare layout of underfloor heating wires
• Lay thermostat probe and cabling into floor
• Apply glue to floor and adhere heating cables to floor surface
• Fill cable trench with concrete, lay new skim layer of concrete flooring
• Connect wiring to consumer unit, install Thermostat/timer into nearby cupboard
• Re-tile bathroom and grout
• Clear away all debris and building waste
• Allow to dry for 7 days, test electrical connections

• Route cabling underground not on walls to retain existing plastering
• Low energy, time switch/thermostat based heating controller for efficiency/control
• Black tiles to give warmth in colour
