Before...

• Poorly insulated loft
• No means of access to loft space, ladder carried from garage each time
• Extension light, plugged in on landing when required
• 4 TV aerial cables spliced together to feed rooms

The Work Involved

• Empty the loft, client took opportunity to clear out unwanted items
• Install fixed lighting, switched on landing ceiling near hatch, test lighting
• Install TV booster and power, test TVs in house
• Lay 40mm of insulation throughout loft
• Board two-thirds of loft space
• Fit extending loft ladder
• Insulate loft hatch and exposed water pipes
• Assist client to store items back into loft
• Tidy debris and clean

• Light switch on outside of loft space for easy control
• TV aerial booster installed on time switch for energy saving each night
• Plenty of loft and pipe insulation for energy saving
• Loft ladder for regular and straightforward loft access
