The Brief

• 2 loft spaces need to be better insulated to meet conditions of eco work
• Joist height require raising to accommodate thicker insulation
• Some existing loft boards to be re-used on new joists

• Work on a day-rate basis alongside property owner
• Install lights in each loft and a socket for aerial booster

The Work Involved

• Lifting and removing existing boards
• Amending some wiring to sit above planned insulation level
• Installing switched light in each loft and double socket
• Installing additional roofing joists perpendicular to existing ones
• Laying additional insulation into new joist runs
• Laying loft boards to cover most of loft space
• Assist with re-stacking stored items in each loft
