The Brief

• Access to house via garden path from parking area to back door is unlit on winter evenings
• Existing lighting is insufficient
• Visitors find it especially difficult to make safe transit from car to house
• Outside sockets are required for festive lights and other appliances year round

• Client to supply light fittings of correct IP ratings
• Lights to activate automatically on arrival at parking area, but also be manually activated from near the house

Before...

The Work Involved

• Carefully excavate trenches to lay cables for lighting around plants and landscaping
• Install pathway and parking bay lighting, activated by movement sensor and manual override switch
• Replace any lifted soil, gravel, stones etc.
• Make all connections and test installation
• Install 3 outdoor sockets in useful locations
• Clean, tidy and remove all waste
